I had built it 10 years ago to use as a home business environment or for any aging parents who needed to be independent but close to the people she knew and cared about. She loves seeing me daily and also being with her grandchildren, my grown children when they come home for holidays. I would not want it any other way. They want their independence and what to know someone is close. Facilities do not always offer them the independence they want. These might not work for everyone but what a great option. The space is small but we as Americans are used to believing everything has to be big, that is not what we need the size works, I lived in an apartment that was only 200 sqft and I loved it. I've put ads in the local paper and have talked to MANY people, but the calls are not coming in like I had hoped. I will try to team up with a physical therapist to give talks at senior gatherings.
