Walk to End Alzheimer’s

Under yesterday’s clear sky and beaming sun, I joined over 3,000 people in the annual Chicago Walk to End Alzheimer’s at Montrose Harbor. Alzheimer’s disease affects approximately 5.4 million adults in the US. I was proud to show my support for the cause by walking with Team Peck Bloom, LLC, one of the corporate sponsors of the walk. I felt the heartwarming atmosphere of the event as I walked alongside not only my husband, friends and colleagues, but also those personally affected by the disease. All the participants shared the common goal of walking and working towards the end of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias.

Please enjoy some photos from the day. I hope to see you all show your support next year at the 2013 walk. Remember to wear purple in two weeks on Sept. 21 for Alzheimer’s Action Day.
